Application letter and email maker for jobs in Ethiopia

Fill in the post and the employer, and get a short letter you can print or an email you can send. Check first what the advert asks you to attach.

This tool runs only in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere. No signup.

You

For example: 3 years as a sales assistant in a phone shop

For example: stock control, customer care and Excel

One sentence that could only be about them.

The job

For example: my certificates

Type your name, the job title and the employer to see your subject line, email and cover letter.

Before you send

  • Dashen Bank asks for a CV and a job application letter together, with your certificates. Check what the advert lists and send all of it.
  • Local posts at Ethiopian Airlines take applications in person, with original papers and copies. There you print the letter and carry it. Don't email.
  • Put the post name and any reference number in the subject line, because one office can be running several adverts at the same time.
  • Windows can be short. Most Ethiopian Airlines local posts we read on 2 November 2026 ran for about a week. Send it early, and write the closing date in your tracker.
  • Applying is free. If anyone asks you to pay to have your letter accepted, stop and check the employer's own page.

Many adverts here want a letter as well as a CV. A Dashen Bank fresh graduate advert from September 2026 lists a CV and a job application letter as mandatory, along with your certificates. Local posts at Ethiopian Airlines take your papers in person, so there you need a printed letter, not an email. This tool writes both forms. Change the words until they sound like you, and nothing you type here is saved.

What goes in a job application letter?

  • The post you're applying for, and any reference number
  • Where you saw the advert
  • What you've done that fits: one or two facts, not a life story
  • The papers you've attached, by name
  • A phone number you answer

Should I write a letter or an email?

Do what the advert says. If it gives an address, send an email with your CV and papers attached, and the post name in the subject line. If it says to register at an office, print the letter, sign it and bring it with your originals and copies. If it uses a portal, paste the letter where the form lets you, or upload it.

What if I have to apply in Amharic?

If the advert is in Amharic or the office works in Amharic, write the letter in Amharic yourself. This tool writes English only, and we don't machine translate. You can still use its order: the post, where you saw it, what you bring, what's attached, and how to reach you.

What are the common mistakes?

  • Sending the same letter to every employer with the wrong name in it
  • Leaving out a paper the advert calls mandatory
  • Writing a date of birth or grade that doesn't match your certificates
  • Stating a thing that isn't true. Ethiopian Airlines says false information will end the process or the job when it's found
  • Paying anyone to have your letter accepted. Applying is free

Questions people ask

Who do I address it to if there's no name?

Write Dear Human Resources Team, and close with Yours faithfully. If you have a name, use Dear and the name, and close with Yours sincerely.

How long should it be?

Under one page. Around 120 to 200 words is enough, since your CV has the detail.

Is this free?

Yes, with no signup. What you type isn't stored or sent, so copy your letter before you close the page.
