Ethiopian Airlines jobs 2026: age limits, papers and how to register
Most local posts register in person, within about a week, with an age limit of 18 to 35 and English required. Here's what the airline's own page said.

Most local jobs at Ethiopian Airlines are registered in person at the Recruitment and placement Office, 1st Floor, Ethiopian Airports Building, in a window of about a week. Most of the posts we read set an age limit of 18 to 35, and the airline says knowledge of English is mandatory. You bring original papers and copies. We read all of this on the airline's own vacancies page on 2 November 2026. We're not the airline, and applying is free.
What the local posts looked like on 2 November 2026
The page listed 14 local posts and 4 international ones. It changes all the time, and old posts can stay listed after they close, so check the dates there. This is what it showed that day, and it isn't a live list.
Apprenticeship Trainee, Fire and Rescue: 2 to 6 Nov GSE/GTV Body Repair Mechanic II: 29 Oct to 4 Nov GSE/GTV Mechanic II: 29 Oct to 4 Nov GSE/GTV Electrician II: 29 Oct to 4 Nov Civil Engineer, Skylight Hotel: before 4 Nov Pharmacist: 27 Oct to 2 Nov Medical Doctor: 27 Oct to 2 Nov Jr. HR Officer, by email: 27 to 31 Oct Graphic Designer, Skylight Hotel: by 28 Oct Driver, Skylight Hotel: before 22 Oct Graphic Designer: 14 to 20 Oct Assistant Camera Person and Editor: 12 to 16 Oct Assistant Cook: 6 to 12 Oct Driver, Skylight Hotel: by 10 July
So this isn't one kind of job. The list runs from mechanics and electricians to a doctor, a cook and a graphic designer. Most windows run for about a week, and if you check once a month you'll miss them.
Where and how you apply
- Most local posts: in person at Ethiopian Airlines Head Quarter, Ethiopian Airports Building, Recruitment and placement Office, 1st Floor
- Ethiopian Skylight Hotel posts: at the hotel's Human Resources Office
- Some posts name another route, such as an email address for one HR post. Follow the post you're reading, not this list
- International posts: the page gives an email or an apply link on each post, and they can ask for many years of experience
The age limits
The age limit is on each post, so read it. These are the ones we saw.
- Most local posts, from mechanics to drivers to the doctor: 18 to 35
- Apprenticeship Trainee, Fire and Rescue Officer: 18 to 30
- Jr. HR Officer: 20 to 35
The papers to bring
The airline asks for all originals and a copy of each, including but not limited to these. The list changes a little by post, so keep them all in one folder.
- Grade 8 ministry card, and a birth certificate only from the city administration
- Grade 10 certificate, and grade 12 on the posts that ask for it
- Diploma certificate, or a temporary degree certificate
- Your latest educational credentials
- Written work experiences
- A copy of your Kebele ID card, back and front
Your employer has to give you a work experience certificate free of charge, so ask for it before you need it. Our guide below explains how. Skylight Hotel's civil engineer post asked for less: a grade 8 or birth certificate and one photo.
What the qualifications look like
Each post sets its own. Here are three, so you can see the range.
- Apprenticeship Trainee, Fire and Rescue: college diploma, 10+3 or Level III certificate in any field, with a 3rd grade or higher driving licence and at least one year of driving experience
- Jr. HR Officer: asks for at least one year of relevant work experience
- Civil Engineer, Skylight Hotel: BSc in civil engineering or a related field and at least one year in the hotel industry
After you register
The airline has a separate results page that lists written exam names and dates. Check it as well as your phone. Write the date you registered in your application tracker, and go back to that page regularly.
Be exact. The airline says that if anyone is found to apply or join with false information, it will lead to termination from the process or from the job. So dates and grades must match your papers.
What we couldn't confirm
There was no cabin crew post on the page on 2 November 2026, so we don't state any height, BMI or age rule for cabin crew. We don't state pay either, since none of the posts we read gave it. The training courses in the airline's menu, such as cabin crew and pilot training, are training programmes and not job adverts. Check the terms on the airline's own site.
Nobody can sell you a place. If someone says they can get you onto the list for a fee, it's not the airline. Open the page yourself, and go to the office in person.
