Dashen Bank: what its zero experience customer service advert asked for, and what's open now

Dashen Bank's careers page listed a Customer Service Officer (Maker) post for branches under Mekelle District on 20 October 2026, asking for zero years of experience. When we checked the bank's application portal on 2 November, that post wasn't among the open jobs. Treat it as a guide to the next round, not a job you can apply for today.

The advert asked for a bachelor degree in a business related field, such as marketing management, accounting, management, economics, business administration or information technology. External applicants had to be no more than 25 years old. The bank says the job holder is permanently assigned after six months of intensive training.

An earlier advert for Dessie District, dated 15 September, gives more detail. It asked for a CGPA of 2.5 or above and fresh graduates of 2025 and 2026 only. You had to attach your degree certificate with exit exam result, your Grade 8, 10 and 12 papers, a CV and a job application letter. If your Grade 8 certificate doesn't show your age, it asked for a birth certificate too. Getting these ready now will save you time.

The portal showed two open jobs on 2 November. Branch Business Manager I in Jimma, vacancy DB_EX/JD/008/26, was posted on 27 October and closes on 5 November. It asks for a bachelor degree in a business related field and at least 7 years of relevant experience, 1 of them in a supervisory post.

Payments and Settlement Officer at the head office in Addis Ababa, vacancy DB_EX/HO/047/26, was posted on 24 October. It asks for a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a business related field and 4 years of relevant experience. Its end date reads 02/11/2026, so check it straight away.

The careers page shows new posts dated 1, 15, 22 and 29 September and 6, 13 and 20 October, so it's worth checking every week.

Applying is free, and nobody should ever pay anyone for a job.
